The developers should be very proud of that accomplishment. It's still baffling to me that the JC2-MP Mod has become big enough that it's now officially supported through Steam and has its own separate achievements. One of the things I think is most interesting is the inclusion of the Steam achievements for the mod. The Unicode support also makes it possible for Just Cause 2 to support far more languages, making it possible for more gamers the world around to participate and communicate in their own native language. This gives players the ability to render objects inside the game world. All all 34 different civilian models that were used throughout the campaign can be played with in the multiplayer mode.ĭepth-tested rendering has been added. In addition to having scripted NPCs, the JC2-MP Mod developers have also made it possible to play as any of the civilians in the game. Can you imagine working together with other players to take on some co-op missions? That could easily see the game's lifespan expanded greatly. I feel like I'm so close but maybe I'm missing a step. This could be a real game changer given that scripted NPC actions will allow players to build some impressive missions for the multiplayer portion of Just Cause 2.

Yet I tried a mod off the JustCause2 mods website that makes rico's shirt a rainbow color (rainbow shirt mod is only one. I extracted that file, opened the texture and replaced the Xbox Icons with the PlayStation ones then I dropped the texture in the dropzone folder in the main directory. It's been my experience that many games have both Xbox and PlayStation icons inside the files but only use the Xbox and Just Cause 2 was no different. Well I found the texture in the files that has The Xbox, PlayStation, and Keyboard icons inside the texture. And from what I've learned about Just Cause 2 you are supposed to open the archives with a mod tool (I'm using 171) and search for textures and then extract said texture, edit it, then put it in the dropzone folder in your main directory. Mainly UI mods changing Xbox Icons to PlayStation icons because I prefer to play with my PlayStation Controller. I've been modding on PC for a number of years now.
